Drummer Jakob Salz has become a solo artist by accident.
On "Forschung (2021)" he explores rhythms, feedback and interactions with spaces – based on an acoustic drum kit. The recordings were made in early 2021 with the idea of combining Salz's drumming with his work as a live sound engineer. He came up with a fragile setup of Mics and Amps he uses in spontaneous live sessions sometimes for drones, sometimes for motoric kraut beats. Combined With some synths and production work by Red On a mini album full of multi-layered noise clouds, acoustic club music drafts and long delay tails was created.
